Why I Love What I Do

I fulfilled a dream when I relocated from Arizona to the East Coast in the fall of 2010 after proudly graduating with my undergraduate degree in public relations. I have led national marketing and communication campaigns over my decade-long career with partners like The Rhode Island School of Design, The Peace Corps, NBC News, and President Obama’s White House Administration.

In the spring of 2020, I obtained my master’s in communication from Clark University. In 2022, I completed The University of Pennsylvania’s master’s level Executive Program for Digital Media in Social Impact and served as an alumni Teaching Fellow in 2023.

Before transitioning to consulting in early 2020, I previously served as National Senior Communications Manager for the education nonprofit organization City Year and Marketing and Communications Manager for youth mentoring intermediary MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership.

Beyond my professional interests, I am invested in activism and community building and serve as a mental health and youth advocate. I am also a freelance writer and the author of Awakening to Nature’s Beauty 10 New England Meditations for the Wandering Spirit, an immersive book encouraging self-care and exploration of the outdoors.

WordSpark’s core values are rooted in anti-racist, anti-colonialist, anti-capitalist and feminist frameworks. This allows me to provide advice that is focused on dismantling systems of oppression, while elevating solutions that are human-centered.

I am a big-picture thinker, transformational leader, educator and mentor with an unending passion for helping innovative social impact leaders meet their goals.

Ethical consulting practices and transparency within client relationships are at the core of WorkSpark’s values.
